What is Dental Student Success Network?

Dental Student Success Network (DSSN) is a free community built exclusively for dental students who want to start their careers with clarity, confidence, and connection.

Backed by the proven success of Dental Success Network (DSN), DSSN offers educational resources, mentorship from practicing dentists, and a supportive environment to learn and grow.

Here, students gain real-world insight, build meaningful connections, and prepare to step confidently into DSN – the nation’s most engaged dentist-only community.

What is a DSSN Ambassador?

Community Moderation

  • Help manage the private DSSN Facebook group by welcoming new members, keeping discussions on track, and ensuring a professional, supportive environment.

  • Flag inappropriate or off-topic posts for review by DSN staff.

Engagement & Culture Building

  • Post weekly conversation starters or prompts to encourage interaction.

  • Share relevant tips, stories, or resources that benefit dental students.

  • Recognize and celebrate member contributions to strengthen community culture.

Peer Mentorship

  • Provide encouragement and relatable advice from the perspective of a current student.

  • Guide peers to DSSN’s official resources and mentors for deeper support.

Events & Resources

  • Promote DSSN webinars, live events, and student-focused opportunities in the group.

  • Encourage participation in DSSN programs, surveys, or pilot initiatives.

Student Voice & Feedback

  • Act as a representative of the student community, providing feedback to the DSN team.

  • Suggest ideas for new resources or content that would best serve students.

Succession & Recruitment

  • As Ambassadors prepare to graduate, help identify and recruit new student leaders to ensure smooth transitions.

  • Mentor incoming Ambassadors to set them up for success.

  • Contribute to building a long-term pipeline of strong DSSN student leaders.
